Nepal Earthquake Appeal 2015

Nepal Earthquake Appeal Map

Please help and donate, we are on the ground providing emergency relief for locals in the Nagarkot area until support recovery options gain traction.

The initial earthquake that struck Nepal on April 25th, 2015 caused massive devastation throughout a large portion of the country. Many villages have been left without shelter, food, and essential supplies for the last seven days.

We are collaborating with local NGO Pragya Seeds and local residents in the area of Nagarkot, approximately 50 km (31 miles) from the epi-center, to deliver immediate emergency supplies. We are in the process of raising funds to initially purchase and deliver local supplies to immediately support 5,000 people in need.

Today we verified assessments in rural villages and determined the most suitable starting point for distribution of emergency shelters. Tomorrow (May 2nd) we begin distribution, and coordination has been made with the military for maintaining public safety. From there, we will continue to bridge foreign donations to local aid suppliers and workers until supported recovery operations can gain traction.

Urgent Help Needed!

The breakdown of supplies and estimated costs are as follows:

  • shelter ($3500)
  • excavation and recovery tools ($4250)
  • 2 meals a day for one week ($14,400)
  • water purification
  • sanitation
  • disinfectant
  • protective materials ($1500)
  • medical supplies ($12,300)

totalling $35,950.

At this point, we have collected 14% of our total goal.

A further breakdown of supplies and costs can be provided upon request.
