Teacher Training: Environmental Education, Social Engagement and Practical Action

Over the two day program 26 teachers from 14 schools in and around BodhGaya participated and have begun to form the Green Schools network.

Creative Learning and interactive methods were introduced for engaging and delivering information to students. Discussion and team building exercises were part of the two days activities. Topics covered: WASTE, WATER, ENERGY, TRANSPORT, BIODIVERSITY.

The Earth Charter Initiative and 16 principles was introduced as a support for the work ahead and a point of reference beyond religion, colour, creed and genda.
